Brenspeed or Bama

Ok guys, I need some help. I have the Airaid CAI on my 05 GT and now want to get a tuner. I had decided on getting it from Brenspeed but then I saw several posts talking about tuners and saying that Brenspeed had the best tunes for the manual but bamachip's tunes were better for automatics. I have an auto so I switched my plan to Bamachips, made contact with them to make sure they had a tune for my CAI and was about to make the order. Now today I saw where several people said the Brenspeed had the better tune for an auto. Does anyone have the numbers on both so we can compare?

You can not go wrong with either one. I've ran them both on the street and the track and honestly can not tell the difference. Although mine is a manual.

Some questions still lurk regarding Doug's customer service........ he has great tunes and is very busy because of it but Brenspeed has a full shop (and a new one coming) and a full staff. Since the tunes are both comparable, take support into consideration.

I don't know about Brenspeed but I have never had a problem communicating with Doug. I send an E-mail and he responds.

My two cents.

Having seen this exact thread many times before the idea I walk away with is that their products are basically same but Bspeeds service gets the edge. I've seen a few threads about service issues w Bama, never any w/ Bspeed.
Just my observations.

Never dealt w/ Brenspeed so I can't comment either way. I have a Bama tune and love it. Doug's a great guy. He's been to Oklahoma city twice now to custom dyno tune cars for us. You can't go wrong w/ Bama!

I had nothing but a very informative and helpful experience with brenspeed. Worked through the problems I had in a timely manor and the results were great.

Well maybe I can be the tie breaker. I have a 2005 auto trans car like your's. I also have paid for both Bama (Doug's) and Brenspeeds tunes. There are positives and negatives about both of them. My butt-o-meter tells me that the horsepower of both is equal. You can adjust the shift parameters of you auto trans with both if you ask them. Bottomline......Brenspeed has better support because someone answers the phone everytime you call. Doug is a little tougher. If you send him an email. Make your subject line look important or urgent. He will respond better. Both tunes are great. I have had 2 tunes from each of them. You can't a wrong with either. Doug's is just a smaller operation. But that is not a negative!!!!

As far as a I know Brenspeed will only update your tune if you bought the new parts from them. Again, to the best of my knowledge Bama doesn't make that distinction. If either Doug or Brenspeed wants to chime in on this, I'd be happy to be corrected. Just one more thing to consider in a long list. I went with TillmanSpeed myself. The mail-order tune felt good at the time, but when CR put it on the dyno we found out what it could really do
