Brakes updrade

Need some help fellow stang runners. Its about time for the brakes to get done over. Looking at some options right now, but dont want file bankruptcy in the process. Any one know of a decent kit for front and back? What have you heard about SSBC brakes? Please help, not fun trying to brake from 140 today - couldn't help myself

I use a big brake upgrade kit from Stoptech basically, The Salleen ones, and I could not be happier. Plus they look dead sexy on my baby.

I bought them from someone on the forums. Look around and you can find a good deal on them. Brembo's any of the big brake kit will be fine for our stangs.

As for the back, upgrade your pads or rotors or both, and your good to go.

Thanks for the info, also those are two fine ladies in your driveway. The 20s look good on the GT, think I may have to upgrade from my 18s

It really depends on your budget and what you want to do with the car. I DD mine, but also plan on finishing out the road race season which includes 2 more dates this year. I was also on a budget, so I went with Powerslot slotted rotors and Hawk HP Plus pads. I also picked up some stainless lines for both front/rear. Depending on your mileage and how you've maintained your Mustang in the past, a fluid flush is something you should strongly consider.

I've got 62K on the car. I am on some what of a budget, but should be coming into a good chunk of change in the next few months so I may hold out and just get new pads.

You probably dont even need the big brakes, new pads, fluid, and stainless lines will probably give you firmer brakes right away for less than $500.
