Brake flush question

How much brake fluid do I need to flush the system of stock fluid and change the front rotors, pads all around, and ss brake lines? I have 2, 17 oz(500ml) bottles of aftermarket brake fluid. Will that be enough?

It seems that I need atleast 3 quarts from what people are telling me. That sucks. I wouldn't care except I told the guy I ordered it from EXACTLY what I was going to be doing and to send enough to do a flush etc and all he sent me was 1 quart worth. Well of course no one locally sells the same stuff (wilwood exp 600) and I had a helper lined up for tomorrow. Ahh well gotta wait another 2 weeks.

No ..No. You do not need 3 quarts of fluid. 2 will give you more than enough to do a good flush and have about 1/3 quart left for later. I just did mine at Xmas time and used Volvoline synthetic Dot 4 I think...maybe Dot 5

Good to know. Well I got 1 quart and I just ordered another 2.5 so I for SURE won't have to worry aboot it. After this muck up I'd rather have a bunch left then take ANY chance on not having enough.

17oz. x 2 will be just fine. I had 3 bottles on hand when I flushed mine(Motul600), and all I needed was the 2 until clean fluid came through all 4 calipers. Don't open an extra bottle if you don't need to. All it will do is take in moisture while sitting on the shelf.
