Borla part #11750. FRPP has them too but I don't know the part # and they are cheaper. You might want to check into that as an option.

Per Rich's question, the FRPP # is M5230-5GT, same as the axleback Borla S (Stinger). It's one of 3 types FRPP offers.

The M5230-GTA is the quieter, 50 state axleback version with regular sized mufflers.

The M5230-GTQ is the catback version of the GTA, also quieter but extra piping to the cats.

All 3 are louder/throatier than stock, the S version is best IMO.

you can get them as ford racing axle backs, these are made by borla for ford, so it has ford racing stamped in instead of borla. You can get them for 369 shipped to your door.

That is definitely the best most useful video I have ever seen/heard. When comparing exhaust notes I think y'all have done great job showing how important it is in having all considered exhaust in the same clip. Having said this I have on order the Ford Racing GTA-Agressive muffler. We'll see about the drone problem. Im gonna try the Dynamat route. Thanks guys!

You read my mind! Putting in FRPP 4.10, Steeda Pulley, and probably Steeda Springs in as SOON as I find a respectable Performance Shop in the NYC area.

Kilmar,
Try Mustang Magic for a performance (631-254-3430) shop in your area. They are on Long Island, they have a pretty good rep. I went by there to check them out. Personally I go to CJ Pony parts to have all my work done, the labor is cheap, great people and they are totally dedicated to MUSTANGS and have a great store to boot, but it's a 2hr ride for me, but don't mind.

I'm going to try Mustang Magic. Will call Joe on Tuesday and check their prices on the installs. Though it's a 45 minute drive for me, I trust them more than the local mechanics when it comes to my baby. Too bad Pennsylvania is not an option.

but I am happy with my flows.

I'm pretty sure Borla's are easily louder in person. From all the reviews I've read that's my take on it.

Can't answer that, never got the chance to have someone in my car rev it with the flows and have kilmar reb his borla's so that I could decide. But the drone on the Borla's is very noticeable, unlike the Flowmasters where its barely there. I could stand the drone on the Flowmasters more than the Borla's.

Paul/Kilmer......where's the "drone" coming in at most noticeably......something that a set of gears would maybe fix if it's where you're cruising most of the time????

Drone hits between 1700-1900 RPM. Completely disappears as soon as it hits 2000. Not sure what the speed as I usually watch the RPM instead of the Speedo. I'll let you know more once I get the 4.10s installed.

Mark:

The drone may not hit you as hard... being in the auto,
if it gears down, it'll get outta the drone area.
ie: Doing 90-110 on the QE in 5th and applying throttle without downshifting... (between 1700-2100rpm in 5th)

However, if your just casually applying throttle and it doesn't downshift, you're in for a world of pain my friend
It's a good pain though... but a very loud pain

Hope that helps

I can say without a doubt that the Borla's are louder in person. My neighbor has Flowmasters and I have Borlas. Both of us live next door, and we hear each other drive by (and the neighbors hear us too ) and we both know the Borlas are louder.
