I sure wish there was someone with Borla on here that lived in FL I would love to hear it live or via more soundbites than the Borla.com has.
Emailed Borla and asked performance numbers here is what the sent me.

'Thank you for contacting BORLA PERFORMANCE. The dyno numbers we don't release
for the reason that the numbers change depending on the location of the dyno,
the weather and all of the other factors that will change the dyno results. But
I can tell you that here at Borla we got any ware from 5-7% increase in hp and
torque. You can also expect and increase in gas mileage from 1-3 mpg.
Thanks'

Try www.mustangexhaust.com

Also, if they are talking about MPG, don't believe the hype.

We have done a ton of research on this, and don't EXPECT an increase in MPG unless you are driving at a constant highway speed for your entire tank of gas or you drive very easily (props if you can drive your 05 easy for an entire tank of gas- I know I couldn't...lol)

In fact most times MPG will go down because people tend to give their car more gas when they first get an exhaust because they like the sound so much.

Dont get me wrong, they build a quality product, but I hate it when other manufactures pull numbers out of their....well you know.

Makes us all look bad.

Based on the testing we have done, you can expect about 5-6rwhp with the Borla system-

Thanks

Borla has never posted their Dyno figures on any of their product. They claim too many variations as their reason why they do not offer that information.I can tell you first hand thought that they DO NOT dyno all of their kits...just food for thought!

Basically on the 05's, you are paying for sound. HP increases are minimal because the OEM exhaust is mandrel bent and has high flow mufflers. Pick a system that you feel sounds the best.

I've got Borla's on mine.
1st off, Zero noticable HP/Torque gain.
2nd, Zero change in gas mileage.

They do sound great though!

But after a couple of weeks with them, I installed longtube headers and an offroad no cat h-pipe. System sounds great but now I hear alot of cracking, popping, etc. between 2k and 3K rpms. Since there is no leaks in my system, I think it's the Borla's. They are very tiny mufflers and I think that all that airflow inside the muffler is what the noise is. I'm seriously thinking of changing to flowmasters or magnaflows, something with a little more muffler. I wish I kept the stock muffler to test my theory but I didn't. Oh well, live and learn.

If you are just gonna change the cat back and nothing else, the Borla's sound awesome!

So that is the stingers? they sound good! I was thinking about the cat backs
but those sound nice. I just wish some people local had the flow and someone had borla.

Dude, they sound SO much better in real life.
Its not a good representation.
They sound mean, and are louder than stock.

I'm addicted to the Stinger sound. Trust me, they rule....but hear them first. What I like, you may not...if you know what I mean.
Don't take my word for it. Always here it in person.

I just posted the crappy MP3 I made to get an idea, but it really doesn't do it justice.

Borla makes the axle back kit for Steeda. I installed them last weekend. Significant drone from 1500 to 2000 RPM but otherwise manageable and sounds good. Installation took maybe 30 minutes.
