Boomtubes - Drone or not?

So maybe we can get a final answer since I've read both they drone and they don't. So do they, I'm not talking about rumble, I'm talking about drone and there is a major difference.

I don't mind my hooker but they are a bit to subdued to me, I want something meaty and rumbly and it seems the Boomtubes are that, but I don't want drone. The hookers drone some and was disappointed that they do since they were advertised as no drone under load.

So please lets have it straight, boomtubes, drone or not?

I've been running Boomtubes for the past 3 weeks, and I'd say the drone is minimal. The traditional annoying frequency drone you may be referring to are a derivative of the larger 'chambered' type axle-backs. The only time I've noticed anything close to 'drone' with the Boomtubes is when car is under slight load (like going up a grade) at cruise RPMs (1800-2000). When cruising on a relatively level highway, I can easily carry on conversation with passengers in the back and easily hear the radio without turning it up.
