Bilsteins HDs now or Koni yellows later

I have found the Bilsteins for 575 (partsgeek.com) and the Konis for 580 (ltbmotorsports.com). These are the best prices I have seen. Now the question, which ones? Ive heard praise on both. The adjustability would be nice but who knows when they will be ready. What to do, what to do. I have Steeda sport springs and a BMR adj. PHB.

do you do any competitive track events? If not I'd save some money and go with a properly valved shock that is non-adjustable.

Based on the research and recommendations I've come across, I think the third option (STR.T) is your best bet.

I haven't yet but its something I want to get into. I do cruises through some local mountain areas and like to push it through the twisties. I also do a 1/8 mi drag so Im wondering if the adj. Konis will serve me better. I talked to Sam Strano and he it really comes down to personal preferance but this was before I found the bilsteins.

Hows the ride on some of the rougher roads? Ive heard they can be a bit harsh on bumpy roads. If he can get the same price I will, a dollor is a dollor.

I think the ride is about the same as stock. I can't tell too much difference.

I got my Koni Yellow's from Sam and couldn't be happier! I'm pretty sure the Bilstein's are valved for stock height springs.

I guess the "ride" is about the same overall. The thing is, after making a few adjustments between the street and track days/autocross a couple times I pretty much found a good overall setting and haven't adjusted them since. With the D-specs I seemed to always be fiddling with the adjustments between street/race environments. Now I have more time to focus on tuning the nut behind the wheel!!

I've got the STR.T's and couldn't be happier as I didn't want to have to adjust the shocks for anything. I vote STR.T's from SAM!
