Better sound

What would be louder or sound better. Taking off the cat's or getting LT's with highflow cats'. It's almost aboout that time to upgrade and I still keep changing my mind No cat's and LT's is not and option. Thank's

Is your goal "sound" only? It seems you are wanting the Mac LT's w/high flow cats according to your sig. I think that is a great way to go. You also like a loud and deep exhaust tone. This is according to your posts that I have read. I do know that with an X pipe, you do need a straight through muffler to sound right. With your proposed LT setup and what I think your goals are, I would suggest the Bassani SS Race mufflers. Just my .02..

Oh no, not another set of mufflers, I love the sound of the stingers. It's just still way too quiet for me. It's about 70% sound/ 30% power.

Get the SLP lont-tube headers. Their X is nice...you can swap cats in or out, and unlike the Bassani setup (which allows the same thing), you don't have to cut anything.

The mac's are like half the price of other LT's. I know there not full but they should still put out

A cursory evaluation of the S197 catalytic converters seems to indicate they are straight flowing cats and there are only 2 of them. Unless you are running forced induction with serious mods, I don't see how the cats are robbing much horsepower.

2005sonicgt- Not sure if you know this but having hiflow cats and no cats are the same they're both illegal. So save yourself the money and just buy the O/R H pipe from Brenspeed. The cat's are only taking between 5-8 hp. I could careless about the hp I did it for the f***ing awesome sound. Trust me before you waste money on the longtubes and the mac prochamber try the O/R H pipe. It's only 169shipped. From my understanding longtubes won't really do you any good unless your blown.

I already have the prochamber and love it, why would I take it off and buy an h from brenspeed. I'm not trying to be an *** but that doesn't make sense. I think I am going to to buy the short offroad legs for my prochamber and use that money that I was going to put toward's the LT's toward's something else 169 shipped is an awesome deal though.

LEO_06gt please explain what you meant that hiflow cats are illegal?

I know they may not pass sniffer test in some states? But some states only check OBII readouts.

Before buying Flotech read post 7 and down about the headers. Pay now or pay later when they start having problems.
