Best tire combo for 20X9 wheel

i might be getting some Shelby razors and want to know the best combo because some of my friends say the 255's that tirerack recommends might be to thin, what sizes should i get or stick with what tire rack recommends

Tire combo

I'd go with the best 275/40/20's you can get all around. Erik

+1 if you can fit them up front with no rub issues. Believe it or not I have yet to do a 20" wheel/tire package on an 05+. Only 18" packages, 19" packages and Bogart race wheels. Oh and a set of Custom Built Welds.

I'm not sure what you mean by too thin, but 255 looks just fine. this is 255/35 front 275/35 rear, you can see the difference in the sidewall. I think 275 on the front may rub a bit. 265/35 might be a good compromise for all 4 corners.

i agree with ^... 275 max for front, 265 definately a good fit and on the rear you can go as wide as the rim will allow.

If you want to rotate them then just get 265 or 275 all around.

I run 255's on the front and they don't rub and i'm lowered about 1.5 inches approximately (lock to lock, no rubbing)

thats why i think two sixty five thirty five twenty

Rubbing is a pain in the ***, it's not worth the extra half inch of tread.

i think i might just go with 255 all around since the tires are cheap but good, then when i some better ones later, just so i could get the razors on the wheels
