Yes and no. Several months back BBR put out claims that they couldn't back up and got called on it. Unfortunately for them a couple of their customers kept shooting off their mouths on various forums when they had no idea what they were talking about, and essentially ran their name into the ground. Some people say they have good customer service, others disagree. I've never tried to buy anything from them so I can't honestly say "Yeah or Nay."

Yeah, anyone remember FourCam from here and SVT basically calling that guy out... offering to pay to have the car dyno'd at a neutral shop...

The original guy (can't remember his name..with his LNR car) spammed every board with numbers....without real proof.

Oh and I laugh my *** off when people when people say:
"It had a an xpipe, exhaust and CAI ...otherwise relatively stock"
or
"Stock other than the CAI and exhaust and pulleys and gears."

Uh..thats NOT stock...hahah

The original owner of the car was Johnny Z (aka Jacka$$). He didn't help BBR out at all. BBR didn't help themselves out either. Fourcam offered to pay for the dyno bill, head flow bill and a reward on top if their numbers proved correct. He also gave them leeway variances, fairly, in case of unfavorable temperatures, different dyno etc. It was an EXTREMELY FAIR callout. BBR wussed out. NO SHOW....and then come out with a "video" showing the tires spinning on the dyno, then turning over to a computer screen showing some guy opening about 12 windows to get to the hp numbers. What a joke. They are local to me and there is not a single person I know that can varify the numbers. Also, they were initially claiming to make 400 on pump gas (on their intial dyno numbers claim). Turns out that someone at the dyno shop (SCT) said they made some numbers on race fuel, and not 400rwhp either.
Yes, they have a bad rep. They are clicky around town. A few derelicts that follow and that's about it. They are good at getting people to buy stuff from them with hightened claims. I'm sure someone has bought their regrind cams based on their 400 hp n/a claim. What a shame....and it's for that reason that Fourcam challenged their numbers....He's tired of companies making claims-without validity/proof, and seeing guys come back saying, "WTF, how come I'm only getting 320rwhp and not 400rwhp like BBR?"
Dhof303 saw them at an event with some Granatelli COP's for sale for like $150 more than you could get them from anyone on the boards or from Granatelli direct. I asked the goofball behind the table why he was charging so much more. Chris ran over saying he didn't know there was such a difference and that their must be some mistake. "We need to change those prices. I didn't know we were that far off."

Dave, how is it going??? You called it correct on that one.

I am local to BBR as well and was going to use them for mods to the '05. But I went to a local mustang meet and BBR was there w/ "Johnny Z" and their Gone w/ 60sec's car. I am usually ok with reading people and Dave is much better at it (very good in fact). Let's just say, after meeting such person I desided to go somewhere else. I did not get to talk to Chris at BBR too much (just a few secs) so I cannot make a really true judgement on him. But I did make a judgement on BBR because of Mr Z and the trust factor was not high on the scale. By trust factor I mean, I could trust what they were telling me, I could trust them to install my parts, and trust them if any problems or concerns came up. Take this into consideration, THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION and perhaps not to be held to them now. Some people trust certain shops while others do not trust the same shop. The shop I went to I have heard some great things while some say stay away. What I can say about my shop is "I TRUST THE OWNER, and he will be straight w/ me can work w/ me thru thru the issues that come up, period!"

Read all the posts.... I have a set of Livernois heads on my car with stock cams and a CAI with a SCT custom 93 tune and my Mustang Dyno tune numbers are around 293 RWHP... I didn't add cams because of my stock valvetrain. (trust me you don't want cams unless you upgrade the valves and springs..) Finding the extra 20+ HP over mine a little hard to believe too.

I read and followed all the **** that happened with BBR, and I agree with what has been said above. However, as far as cams go, BBR had what I wanted, which neither comp nor crower could deliver, and neither are doing custom 3v grinds (although tey say they will on their site, when you call and it comes down to it, they wont at this time). BBR had close to the grind I wanted, for a decent price. I am not that intrested in exactly how many hp I gain, I know I would gain more with the Comp Cams from doug, but I wanted a meaner cam even if it meant losing a few hp. anyway, Chris at BBR has been excellent helping get my cams to my door, and has been very helpful. Thats the extent of my experience with BBR. I also was a hater and said I would never do business with them after that thread at Modular Fords, but I guess I went back on what I said. my cams are here now and will be on the car soon, I will post dyno numbers as soon as they go on.

Haha, you act like the "knocking" was unwarranted. They posted bs claims on their website then disappeared and let JohnnyZ act as spokesperson when their bluff was called. Though I am anxious to see EmperorJordan's results...

And that's why they lost all kinds of business, and hurt their own name.

Yes, because people obviously still buy cams from them, therefore so what how they run they're business, they are still selling cams.

The FTC isn't as forgiving of false advertising as you seem to be.
