I have read the threads, listened to clips, talked to dealers and viewed the poll results. I can't decide which ones would be best. I like volume but not at the expense of cruising driveability. Jordan's current video makes the SLP sound very tuned and throaty but not long tube header wild. Those with the SLP state there is not much resonance. I just question if the Bassani is worth the extra dead presidents.

What do you think?

I went ahead and splurged for the bassani's. No regrets, and I get looks everywhere I go. The only thing I have heard, that sounds as good (to me), is Richard's (rrobello) straight pipes.

I heard magnaflows, SLP, and flowmaster. Not my style. Plus, the bassani's are made VERY well.

Did you find the SLP's to be just too loud and untuned?

Some say the Bassani's sound "tinny" rather than deep and throaty.

I think I have your clip. The one I have is with the camera facing the left rear bumper and the driver revving the engine.

I didn't hear a tinny sound myself. I was going by what I had read from other people's perspectives.

I know that Bassani is a very good system but wonder if it really roars and is worth the extra money. I listened to Swingle's video from a while back but he also has the x-pipe and other modifications.

Yeah, that's the clip.

The thing does roar at WOT. Getting on the freeway, people definitly look over at you. But while cruising...its not obnoxious. At any RPM, it sounds like a 60's muscle car.

The X-pipe will definitly help with sound, and intake as well.

Well, with the SLPs, the interior sound level with the windows up, is darn near stock. With the windows down, however, you can hear it growl, and when you stand behind the car it gets REALLY loud.

This afternoon, I will film a video with both interior and exterior, and on the freeway droning so you guys can get the full picture before you buy.

Also, the quality of the SLP parts (especially the tips) is outstanding!

That is what I am trying to determine. If I can get the quality sound I want at the price of the SLP's then my decision is made.

According to Jordan, SLP's are the way to go so I will have to listen to his new audio clips when he posts them and then make a final decision.

It seems that Jordan will be the catalyst for mine as well as other people's exhaust decisions.

Hey SurfnSoCal, can you post that video of your Bassani's? I'm considering getting them, and also if anyone has some up close pics of the rolled tips from Bassani that would help too.

I aim to please!

I just know when I was looking and trying to decide which one to get, NOBODY had clips let alone videos of the SLPs. So I decided to fix that, and anytime somebody asks or needs a video, I am going to shoot and post it.

Well since comparisons are being done here, how about a clip of someone with the borla exhaust. Best I ever heard was a borla, and it was on a 4.6 mustang as well, but not the 05. Anyone, Anyone, Beuhler, Beuhler?

Ok guys, here is another video. I tried to do the same thing Richard did with the Bassani clip. Note that in his clip his engine is cold, and that causes the excessive "popping", mine does that when its cold too. For this vid, my car was warm.

I tried hard to get it to drone, and sorta got it right. But let me tell you, the drone is ONLY when accellerating, NOT cruising, and it is ONLY between 2100 and 2300rpms, and is not nearly as loud as my friends Flowmaster 40 series.

The sound quality in my vids kinda stinks, but let me tell you again. I RECOMMEND THE SLPs 100% beyond ANY doubt. I cant tell you how happy these have made me. I never thought something this cheap could sound so good, and its got me excited.

ok, right click, save as: http://emperor666jorden.web.aplus.net/SLP2.wmv

Sweet, thanks Jordan!

You helped me make up my mind. Bassani for me. SLP is just too loud, and I don't like the sound. But they are a close second. I also thought about Flowmaster, but they are not loud enough.
