I was running my Bassani x-pipe without cats and decided to put the cats on to see how much the volume changes. When I put the cats on and started the car I noticed a buzz in the floor. I jacked the car back up and noticed that the cats are EXTREMELY close to the heat shields, if not touching. I tried to adjust them but they won't come down. Has anyone else had this problem?

Oh, and putting the cats on quiets things down a LOT.

check the hanger on the passenger side of the pipe. When the hanger rod is in the rubber cradle, it sometimes rests on the metal part right below it. Mine made that noise too, turned out to be the hanger.

I just checked and it's not the hanger. And I verified that the cat is touching the heat shield.

Well I just wanted let all of you know I fixed my cat problem. Turns out I had the cats on the wrong sides. I feel like an itiot.

I also got Bassani axlebacks today. I can verify that they sound great.

If anyone is interested in some Magnaflow axlebacks they are for sale. $310 shipped. They only have about 200 miles on them. Just PM me if you are interested.
