Hope you guys can help me with my 05 GT. I just got my Bassani axle back kit and a X-pipe w/cats kit. I pulled the old mufflers and while checking for the fit of the new mufflers, I noticed a small stud welded onto the over-axle pipe. The stud slips into a slot in the factory muffler, but the Bassani's don't have that slot. Do I just slip the muffler up to that stud and clamp it, or do I need to grind the off stud? I would appreciate some insight from those who have installed a set of Bassanis. I'm off to install the x-pipes while I wait for a reply.

Thanks,

Joel

With the Bassanis you just push up to the stud and clamp it.

That's what I hoped. Thanks.

I grinded those things off several mufflers ago. They kept restricting the ability to line things up right. I don't miss them at all.
