BASSANI!

Thanks for all your reviews on the Bassani exhaust sytem. I heard them on an 05 back in July. Holy crap, the sound is second to none! I was in Somerset, KY with a lot of classic hot rods and muscle cars, and none of them could touch that sound. Well, except for a couple of true dragsters.
I have heard all of the exhaust systems so far, and none of them compare to the Bassani system. Bassani will definately be going on my car when it arrives.
Are any of you guys located in Alabama? If so, where did you order and have installed (I noticed some did themselves). Is it a true bolt on system for comp cats, xpipe, mufflers?

I order 9/12 5pm, he shipped them 9/13, I had them by 9/15
Also he will price match anyone out there or you can just get the TMS discount

As for the install...i'm a computer geek not a mechanic, but after seeing my exhaust get install on my 03 GT I'm doing this one myself...yes it is true bolt on from what i've read and seen on the Bassani instructions
Hope this helps

Bullitt1609,
I have an article from 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords where they did the install of the full Bassani exhaust (axle-backs and x-pipe w/high-flow comp cats) and state in there that "Our only glitch came with the late realization that automatic GTs will need harness extensions to reach the rear oxygen-sensor locations on the new cats. This is a function of the forward positioning of the automatic's pan, and is not an issue with stick-shift cars."
They also dyno tested the full exhaust with and without an SCT tune (the car was otherwise stock). Without tune, it raised peak horsepower 18.8 at 5,300 RPM and with the SCT tune it raised peak horsepower 40.9 at 6,600 RPM.
Hope this helps you guys looking for info on dyno numbers! Let me know if you want to know the rest of the results

Got my Bassani X-pipe with cats installed. Sounds great, it is exactly what I was looking for. I am running my completely stock, except for the X-pipe and Bassani mufflers. No CEL or any problems.
The only problem I had was the passenger side mid-pipe somehow became WAY too low after the install. It was resting on the pan-hard bar brace and would scrape when I went over a speed bump. My solution was to bend the pipe up until I liked the clearance. Now I have no problems.
Installation was a lot easier than I thought. I would suggest starting at the rear. Just unbolt the mufflers, then the mid-pipes from the stock H-pipe, then your O2 sensors, then the down pipes from the exhaust manifolds. Then just reverse the process for the install. This was done with basic hand tools and some jack stands in my garage.

Here is the thread with the results I got from my Bassani's along with Dyno videos so you can hear them. I love them!

Just with Bassani would hurry up and come out with 05 headers options. Would love to see them develop a mid length or even better a long tube header that works with thier high flow cats & x pipe.
Hopefully - they will be a SEMA with some new toys!!!!
