Don't know if it is Dougs Tunes causing this.
Mine didn't pass but I put the car back to stock and now the car is in Failsafe mode. Having it towed to the dealer to see whats up.
Dougs tunes are great and I think there is something else going on with my car.

Did that and left it off overnight to see if it would reset, but still the same.

Hey guys,

The tune alters the a/f ratio's and spark timing at different points on the RPM's and such. This can alter the output of the emissions as well. Put a larger CAI on it and it gets even worse. Please for any emissions or warrenty work return your car to the stock tune and reinstall your stock intake.

Thanks, Doug.

I guess the bigger question to me is...why is he going into failsafe mode and has to flatbed his car to the dealer. Could it be he has mods we dont know about? I dont know. I think Im gonna return mine to stock to see Thank you so much for the great customer service!

Dougs customer service and tunes are the best and I don't think my problems with my car have anything to do with his tunes.
Good to know that we must return our cars to stock before getting them inspected.

Hey guys,

This is the first time I've ever heard of anything like this. I've tuned and untuned my own personal car more then 10 times I can think of and it's never had this issue, mine is an 05 auto as well. I would like to see what the dealer says about it, I'm truly sorry about this issue but in the end he knows if its something on my end I'll take care of him.

My customers are my business, my advertising but most of all my friends.

thanks, Doug.

I too was wondering about putting the stock airbox/tune back in the car for warranty work but chose not to. Besides, the dealership where I go most often is well aware of what I have on the car so it would a waste of time for me. Emissions testing is another story. Not sure what the regulations are here in Michigan. I feel silly for not knowing that.

I'm new to tunes and have switch back and forth from stock without any problems. Definitely does not sound like a tune issue. That sucks that you had to have it towed. I would like to know what the problem was when remedied.

Issues with the TB and TB motor was what was making it go into Failsafe mode.
Took it back to the dealer and they gave me a new TB and reflashed the car back to stock and all is good!
Been driving it all day without any trouble.

I ran mine through the North Carolina inspection with the C&L and Doug's 93 torque tune installed, and it passed with flying colors......

I am in NC, our new emissions test is basically to see if our car is throwing a CEL. My problem was disconnecting the battery and not driving it enough to get enought data log in the computer memory. ONCE I did that, it passed no problem.

We do not do a sniffer, as long as the car's computer is happy, the state is happy.

Running 93 torq tune
