Bamachips: Which tune you like better for everyday driving?

the 93 Torque tune or 93 Performance tune? I can't make up my mind. Torque pulls better on bottom end and Performance on the top

I don't have 93 octane here but I have both tunes from Doug and prefer the performance. Better all round tune imo~

I use the 93 torque for everyday driving and I upload the 93 performance tune when I go to the track.

Dustin how do you like the tunes? has it dried out long enough to try them?

I use the 93 torque for most of my driving. People think I have a 5 speed when I get on it.The third gear chirp is wicked.

I've been using 93 Torque on the street.. I find that there isn't enough open road and too many cops to let the engine wind with the performance tune

Dustin what can you tell us about the "track" tune. Does it really disable the adaptive algorithms of the Spanish Oak processor and bypass the OBDII diagnostics. I've seen the torque and performance variants in action, but I know little about this new "race only" version. Care to discuss?

p.s. stick with the torque tune around town. stoplight to stoplight, it's a bruiser.

I origanally ran the torque tune. First time I was at the track I tried both and obviously got a slightly better result out of the perf tune, so I've just stuck with that. Waiting on an email back from Doug on info for the "race only" tune.....

I ran the torque tune on the street and at the track. I tested both at the track, and saw no measurable difference in ETs. But, the torque felt better, so I stuck with it.

This weekend I am going to upload the 93 Performance and go play around on the Autobahn. I would like to see the top end difference between the two tunes at 125-145 mph. For around town, though, the Torque tune rocks as the tires bark hard in second and chirp in third.

I run the 91 torque tune. I reflashed to the performance for only a day, just didnt feel as good. Maybe its all in my head but I swear the torque just feels stronger and more responsive.

Speaking of barking hard, today I ran into something interesting. We are experiencing rain showers off and on here in Bavaria, so I left the TCS on. At a dry intersection, the Stang felt the need to lunge of the line like it was exploding out of a rodeo corral. When she shifted, she barked the tires "so hard" that the TCS kicked in. It was like hitting a brick wall. At first it freaked me out because I thought I might have injured my Horse, but quickly realized that TCS took control to rob me of my pleasure. Lesson learned: "Turn of TCS before playing"!

Hi there

I am a little confused as to why there is actually different tunes now thinking about it?

Especially this 'torque' and 'performance' map. Every loads site should be optimised for maximum torque, regardless of power or torque. One engine map should cover all needs, cruise areas optimised for driveability and economy and for maximum torque.

So how come the two tunes can't be like built into one?

Sorry for the question I just don't understand it, can anybody who knows more about these cars please explain?
