Well, I sure would feel better hearing it from Doug. But i haven't heard him say it yet. What about it Doug? What are the pro's and cons of daily driving with a 93 race tune?

When I purchased my set-up, Doug informed that the 93 race is safe.

I recently had Doug's 93 race tune, dyno checked by Powerhouse Automotive..My air/fuel ratio was spot on at 12.8-13.0 WOT..The tune is completely safe for every day driving and no adjustments nor additional tuning were required whatsoever..

Doug addressed this in his reply above. The race tune is a throttle adjustment, ie. it opens the throttle quicker and farther for a given movement of the gas pedal. I have the 91 octane Performance and Race tunes and much prefer the Racer. All pro, no con.

93 Race tune is money! Except in parking lots... It takes a little more throttle control in a parking lot and can be a little jumpy... but I love it!

Wow... Good intel Rock! Nice to know. I've read that people have warned about the 93 race being touchy in parking lots, and so forth. I've never found that to be a problem. I haven't really researched "this", maybe from just the auto guys, but personally, with a 5 speed, I've never experienced this phenomena

I can't imagine it's THAT touchy. Drive a 440 powered 'Cuda sometime with vacuum secondaries and gears. That's touchy.

Same here Pat, I also have a 5spd. manual and have never experienced any problems with the throttle being too touchy, unless of course, I happen to stomp the gas pedal to the floor lol. but then again, why would you ? while either in a parking lot, or in local traffic anyhow
