Axle part???

OK guys. I need help identifying the part that is attached to the lower side of my rear axle near where the LCA's attach. It is held on by one bolt and looks to be some kind of cast weight. There is one on each side? Do we remove them to install Anit Squat brackets and then keep them off? I'm installing CHE LCA's and brackets and they went on fine until I got to the passenger side and the tab on this weight is in the way of the Anti squat bracket

The CHE install pics show it removed but no mention of it in the instructions.

Please help
Jerry

Just take them off, if you need a boat anchor, use both of them!! They weigh about 10 lbs.!! I took mine off the first weekend I had my car, never had any problems, no wheel hop, no balance problems. Some GT's don't even have them from the factory!!
