This goes out to all Automatic owners...Get rid of your Predator..if you have one....and get SCT from Alternative Auto!! Ask For LIDIO! I spent all summer messing with my tuner and differnt tunes and CAI's...I sold My predator,got a C&L and an SCT from Lidio...and i just cannot believe difference! My car is freaking tard now! Throttle response is just as if i had cable...i can incinerate my tires through second gear and chirp into 3rd!! Shifting is awesome...no more laggy shifts,no converter locking up before i hit 40 mph...stays in gear longer between shifts ...even at low speed! Pulls like crazy! Not bashing Predator tuners...but i feel they are more for the stick guys! The Automatic is a whole different beast! The Tranny controls this car...not the motor! When i first got Preadtor,CAI,and exhaust...i noticed a great improvement! But i still wasn't satisfied...and kept reading posts from others about Lidio and Doug(Bamachips) and they seemed to be getting much better results! I couldn't take the curiosity no more...and i switched! I AM SO HAPPY that i did! Lidio is sometimes hard to get a hold of...but when you do...you will be glad you did! Super guy! Knows alot! Take it from me...SCT and either Lidio or Doug...your choice!

 

Great to hear another GT owner has a smile on his face. I am not ready to burn my Predator yet. If I keep hearing this I might. What was the price of the SCT loaded with his tune? How many tunes do you get?

 

Sweet Im in New Jersey, did you go to his shop? Does he put on performance parts? Does Alternative Auto's have a site?

 

I also have an sct xcalibrator 2, with CAI, pulley, exhaust and i'm very glad with it. My only concern now with the automatic is my launch on track still have some problem.

I'm from jersey too, I was gonna go to a SCT dealer in NJ but instead I went with Doug at BamaChips and I could not be any happier!!

I put my order in for my SCT II and tunes from Doug RIGHT before he had to leave to Texas weeks back...... been waiting... dying to get my new tune to see if it will fix exactly what you are talking about.......

Lidio is in Michigan just north I believe on Detroit. He is kinda hard to get ahold of but he does return your calls.

I need to call him because I have his intake and tune but not getting the numbers I should.

The throttle delay and shifts are great but the HP and times are not where they should be. I'm starting to get concerned about maybe something else is up with my car specifically.

 

Yep, Alternative Auto is a complete speed shop! Their website is here Alternative Auto Last time I was at the shop there was a Mustang with Texas plates... The guy had read about Lidio and shipped his car to Michigan to have Lidio work on it!

As mentioned Lidio is either on the dyno or on a test drive... Ask for him but be prepared to leave a message... He WILL call you back! LOL!

Even though I have the little V6, Lidio's talent shines though on my tunes also! I had him set my shift firmness to "Barbaric" HOLY MOLY!!! It's amazing...especially when even my car chirps the 2-3 shift!!!

Lidio is an amazing guy to work with... I mean he been so helpfull and patient with me.... LOL! He is the reason my car can turn a 13.4!!!!

Ok... sorry about that.. but dang... when a product or service comes along as good as Alternative Auto.. it's hard not to get excited!!!

 

Just to let you know its not the Handheld tuner that matters, its the tuner behind the tune. Canned tunes seem to not be so great from the Diablo Network but its a CANNED TUNE PEOPLE!

Go get a custom tune from a good Diablo Dealer and you'll be fine as any SCT guy running with a Bama or Alternative tune.

I agree with Dan. Not to knock SCT or any custom tuner but I have a Predator and Custom Tune from Scott Beer and couldn't be happier. I truly believe it is the person behind the tune and not any specific tuner. I believe part of the lack of performance some may be experiencing with the Predator is because they are using a canned tune or they may not have local tuner that is experienced using the Predator.

 

Don't worry Burke, it'll get there, and you won't be dissapointed, it almost feels as if you were waiting to get your car built, doesn't it?? LOL

 

I have a predator with a canned tune, it's OK, but not as good as I would of hoped.

How would I go about getting a custom tune for it?

Or am I better off getting an SCT X2 from Doug with some customs on it?

If you really are in Germany Im almost sure there wont be anyone available to put it down on a dyno and tune it properly. For you a canned tune from Doug and the X2 is a better choice.

Not to mention, I still haven't seen proof that Diablo has handled the torque management issue... just rumors.
