Seems like these guys cater to the automatic GT's. Have some pretty stout numbers on their R&D car too!!!

Yep I use their program and have basically done everything they have but the convertor. I'm waiting on that instead of having the stock convertor loosened. They have done me good!!

Thanks Mike

They went from 250 RWHP to 277 with a C&L and SCT tune? 27 RWHP gain.

I got 14 RWHP gain from the 93 oct. SCT tune alone, and an added 23 from the JLT CAI and retune with Magnaflow axelback. 37 RWHP gain with my tuner.

My car started at 259 RWHP and ended with 296 RWHP.
I really need to get back to the track to see what it can do with these new changes.

The Alternative Auto tunes for the automatic GT are frickin fantastic. My car chirps from 1-2 and 2-3 if you get on her right. Its awesome. I got the C&L from them, and the tunes. They have 93 and 89 octane tunes for the C&L (its the only intake they support at this time). It's like a completely different car, and you can tell she's happier.

Yeah same here. I personally havent gotten a second-third. That was my dad. Old man can drive. But seconds are frequent.

Wait till Lentech gets a hold of the new 05/06 trans. I have a 90 GT Vert with an AOD (lovingly known as DOA in racing) trans. The trans recently blew and I replaced it with a Lentech Street Terminator AOD. This trans is amazing!!! The shift pattern now goes 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and overdrive is controlled by an electronic switch. I have full manual control or I can just put it in D and let the trans shift by itself. Lentech isn't cheap but they make a quality product. He even let me swap out torque converters free of charge when I wasn't happy with my first choice.

Still if I had an automatic 05/06 GT, Alternative Auto would be the first place I went.

I have the AOD so I only have 4 gears vs the 5 gears for the 05/06 Mustangs. I have no problem driving the car daily. The shifts are on the firm side but it doesn't bother me because I like the performance feel. Lentech can also custom tailor the shift feel to your liking. The downshifts are quick with no delay unlike the 30 second lag time I had with the stock trans. It shifts so good that I just put the thing in drive and let it go, I hardly ever use the manual function. It's also very responsive as I have an 1800 stall speed converter. Best thing you can do is give them a call and tell them what your looking for out of your car. If you want a hard core race trans they can build it. If you want a street performance trans they can build it. I wouldn't go any place else.

That's great news for us auto owners. I'm actually surprised that Lentech is coming out with one this soon! A couple years down the road I can see me going to one of these for sure

I called alternative auto today about a tune...they wanted $200. They sell the tune and excalibrator for $425...seemed a little high to me

$200 just for tune file or does that include a dyno run ?

$200 just for a tune file is waaaaaaay toooo much.

If that also included dyno runs and customization then it's a fair price.
