I've been reading around the mags and boards and the general consensus is that the '05 GT will do 0-60 between 5.1 and 5.5 seconds. However, I don't know if it's me or what but I can't get mind in the 5 second range. i'm driving a stock GT, auto tranny. I've tried with TCS off, O/D off, and combo's in between. I'm guessing it could be throttle lag? I'm not going to a track, just using the chronometer that comes with the trip computer. I'm usually getting times of 0-60 in 7 seconds or a hair less, which should be v-6 times! Any ideas, and if you guys could post the times you've been getting on your automatic GT.

I had a 0-60 of 5.2 seconds with my auto GT... stock. Now, I'm at 4.8 (fastest run with my g-timer was 4.78 seconds. I just installed a functional hood scoop with a semi ram air system bringing air straight to the air intake. I'll be doing another few run within the next couple days and post my results here. I can feel a significant difference after making my scoop functional, so I'm hoping to be in the 4.6-4.7 seconf range.

Hey Rinaldo. Your 7 seconds is impossible, you're probably in the 5's somewhere. With a few mods (not as much as Acadian, just a C&L with a Predator 91 tune), I went from an average of 5.25 to 5.3 down to a best of 4.93 and an average of 5.0. In competition terms, this small amount is night and day. Acadian's results are better yet - way better!!

Your starts are very important, you learn quick what works, what doesn't. So good luck, you'll get her down I'm sure. Invest in a G-Tech, they're fun and quite accurate (according to a few of us AND Car and Driver who recently tested a bunch of timers).

Mark.

Ya 7 seconds is pretty impossible, because ive only done 7+ seconds to 60 when i missed my 2nd gear shift. Im usually in the 6.5-6.7 range (best of 6.35 or 6.37) and mines just the v6 (manual).
