Granatelli Motor SPorts is offering our turbo kit installalled to the first person to accept with Automatic transmission for $5500.00 installed and tuned

MM&FF magazine as well as Race Pages wants to do articles and we need an auto trans car. We will need the car for 5 business days. Basically you buy the kit and we install it, tune and get you an article for $5500.

Ugh I'd be all over a turbo if I had a built bottom end.

Military Discount is Less $200.00

You don't need a built bottom end to make 450 to the tire

NO . There are always exceptions but there are enough cars out there that make 480 to 500 at the crank in stock form. So NO I don't but that should be a non issue with the proper tune

Yes, I would agree that the vast majority of these cars can probably handle 450rwhp on the stock shortblock, at least for a while. But it is precisely because of those exceptions you mention that blanket statements such as yours ("You don't need a built bottom end to make 450 to the tire") should not be made. Anyone adding any sort of power adder (be it turbo, supercharger or N2O), must understand that there are no gaurantees, and they better be prepared to pay to play.

One more thing, 480-500 at the crank is not 450 at the tires (especially in an automatic), you know that as well as I do. It's probably more like 550 at the crank with an auto trans. Which, IMO is really pushing the limits of the stock rods... it only takes one weak rod to mess up your whole day.

Yes - Don is correct my point was you don't need a $5000 short block just to add our turbo kit

I don’t want to sound greedy or like an *** but if someone is putting this kit on their car and then doing a couple mustang magazine tests for your company. You should really eat the full price of the kit and install with all the press and sales the magazine articles will bring in. You’re basically asking someone to pay you to advertise your product..

I agree...So here is the NEW DEAL - Just pay us the $5500.00 we are asking for and if the magazines do the articles we will credit back the money proportionately. However, it has taken so long to get a bite on this offer the mag guys have lost interest. Since the offer began we have sold 28 more 5 speed kits but no auto trans - I THINK. I am really not sure who has installed our kit on their auto trans
