To anyone with a Twin Screw SC and Tensioner issues, WE HAVE A WORKING SOLUTION!!!!!
This problem mainly affects those with Twin Screw Superchargers and Manual Transmissions, although it does affect a few automatics as well.
I have personally spent $2200 in belts and tensioners. I have tried stock ones but the arm of the tensioner will bend, causing the belt to fall off the pulley and shred. I have tried beefed up ones from numerous sources where the arm is strengthened but then it starts to bend the entire assembly away from the base. I tried adding tension, Removing tension, changing pulley sizes, Belt length, and different belt routing, all to no effect. The Reichard Racing one doesnt work either because of the adapter palte the unit sits on. It moves the tensioner so far away from the Engine that the arm and extended pulley it comes with act as a lever and actually twist the arm. also if you have a KB it doesnt with without modification to the PCM case. The last one was a KB Extreme tensioner to which i snapped the arm off of the base.
Well here is the solution:

With each of the above mentioned solutions i would get 4-5 powershifts before the tensioner would fail, id shred the belt, and even one belt dented my hood

.
I have over 200 powershifts on this unit so far and it is still straight as an arrow. Not one problem!!!!. This is the holy grail of tensioners. AND it fits with the KB with no PCM modification.

Works with the Whipple, KB and Saleen, 6 or 8 rib and Does not require spacers for the 8 rib kit as they were built in during machining. You do need to use a 8 rib idler pulley, even if you are a 6 rib setup.

Ok Thumprr we need prices and how to order. I am taking my KB up to 15 pounds of boost and I am anticipating that I will need this...
I'm not very familiar with the Magnacharger setup but what is happening?
Most people who are shreding belts is because they are bending the stock tensioner.
I was doing this on my Saleen with 10 psi and an 8 rib belt on my stick car.
What kind of power are you putting down?
Is your car a stick?
The tensioner is clocked the same way the factory one is so it won't take up more slack but there are several other way to do that like with larger diameter idlers.
I'm using a 100mm idler down by the PS pump and I'm using a 90mm on my tensioner.
Another thing you can do is replace the water pump pulley with the V10 truck piece. If you're using an electric water pump Meziere can replace the idler pulley for the V10 sized one.
PM me if you have any questions.

What's happening is when I install my 2.8 pulley the belt is too long and the tensioner is fine at normal loads put under boost the belt streches even more and then is slips around and shreads the outter edge of the belt. I can't find a shorter belt, heck I have a hard enough time finding the 124.75" belt that is on it as I have to get it from Magnacharger each time.
You say use the V10 waterpump pulley, is that larger? If so then it may take up enough slack to give me what I need.
thanks, Doug
Doug,
Are you running a 6 or 8 rib setup?
