Anyone still running Lidio's tune?
Is anyone on here still running Alternative Auto's (Lidio's) tunes?????? I still have his 89 and 93 tunes. I just found 93 octane fuel in Okla. City so I'm gonna try the 93 tune very soon.
Second question:
Has anyone had experience with both Alt. Auto's tunes and Bamachips tunes? I hear so many people singing Doug's praises that I'm really curious about Bamachips tunes. I really have no complaints about the tunes I have, but was just curious if someone out there has tested them both and noticed any big difference in one over the other.

I just had Lidio upgrade me to a c&l, 4.10's and the 93 tune. previously i just had the 91 tune.
Stock, my car would run 14.20 @ 96 mph
the 91 tune dropped me to 13.55@105 , quite a difference.
have not been to the track yet, but a big s.o.p. difference. If you are thinking of a gear swap, don't hesitate. Just to let everybody know Lidio is a great guy, and he has been doing this for 17 years, I'm not saying any other tuner isn't good, but you can't argue with experience.

I'm not knocking Lidio. His tune was awesome, but I didn't care for his customer service skills. Doug remapped my fuel and sent me new files for my Xcal and I didn't even buy the unit from him. I will say this: Dougs tune is more aggressive than Lidios and IMO pulls harder. I do believe, however, that Lidio has a better grasp on the transmission tuning. The shifting just felt crisper and the shift points were more consistant. That being said, I can still chirp a mean 3rd with Doug's tune. Even if you have Lidios tune, you can still get one from Bama and compare for yourself.

In reference to the 4.10's, Lidio said he doesn't recommend them for automatics. He completely talked me out of the 4.10's and I went with 3.73's. He said 4.10's are fine for manual transmissions, but he had problems w/ 4.10's in an auto.

I'm running on Lidios 93 tune. Here in California We don't have 93 octane fuel and he told me he doesnt have a 91 tune but he told me i can take out 2 deggres of timing. Which I did and have not had any problems. I'm going to get Dougs tune soon. I would rather have a specific 91 octane fuel tune then messing with the 93 tune.
