Anyone modify Xcal setting on their mail tunes!? :o

I was just experimenting with my xcal3 and my bamachips race tune. I am sure someone that knows a bit more than I do has messed with these settings before but I never went above 2 degress on any setting. results

Bamachips with 2* advance to 0-2000rpm and 2000-4000rpm
Low end was ridiculous i was like and spinning by accident in first.
No pinging sound, no weird smells, no hesiation no signs of anything bad.

This has nothing to do with the tunes they are all great i am glad i could get away with 2* advance on bama's though, for the record I DID NOT KEEP ANY OF THESE MODIFICATIONS IN ANY tune, i am not a tuner and will not keep my changes unless i know they are safe which i don't at the moment. having said that i am pleased that i can add 2* to bama's tune on the low end without any kind of ping and improve the low end a bit

anyone mess with these settings? is this even reccomended? i WILL NOT go overboard as you can see never went past 2* on any settings, opinions? experiences?

I leaned my 91 race tune 2%. It was a taste rich, now its perfect. That net me a bit of power.
I was thinking of advancing but with race fuel, good to hear you got away with 2*. I'm just not too confident on the 91 CA gas lol.

When I got dyno'd I only got an AF readout, I wish I had the timing readout too.

Yea i have an AEM wideband laying in a box if i want to do some exploring i might want to hook that up. i like technology and it's cool to know i can mess with a few parameters without blowing my car up lol.

I haven't tried leaning it but nice to hear you have good results with that, how did you know it was rich? (before the dyno?)
(i always assumed it was a tad rich for safety)

During the dyno, then dyno again after the 2%. went from a flat 12, to a mid 12.
I'm pretty comfortable with that.
