Anyone have Autopower roll bar in S197 vert

Does anyone have photos of the Autopower 4 point roll bars in a S197 vert?

The only one I could find was of the Maximum Motorsport 50 for a pre S197 Mustang and not the Autopower. Perhaps I missed that one but as of yet I can't find it.

Thanks

I ran into the same problem trying to find a rollbar for my vert. In the end, I had a local shop fab one based on a design I copied from CDC's lightbar.

I hope you realize that no sanctioning body is going to consider that a rollbar.

Would it have been considered a 4 point if the front down tubes on this design went to the floor? Is it required that the back stays are welded to the cross member or can they attach to the down tubes?

1) all points must have 6"x6"x1/8" thick steel plates that sandwich the floor pan. The plates are retained using at least three 3/8" grade-8 bolts at each of the four mounting locations.

2) There is no crossbar for seatbelt mounting.

3) There is no 5th bar as shown in the picture

I'm not looking for a 5 point, I won't be drag racing. At most I will autocross and I hope the 4 point Autopower with detachable diagonal and horizontal support will suffice. I do like the unobtrusive look of the CDC light bar and if I could find a 4 point that only showed the vertical loop above the door sills, I would go for it. I've never rolled a car but I've responded to hundreds of traffic accidents over 17 years as a volunteer firefighter. Most rollovers were on their sides and the few that continued rolling didn't stop on their tops. Even with all of these accidents I never responded to a convertible rollover, which due to it's design would probably stop on it's top. NHTSA only listed 92 fatalities to convertible rollovers for 2004 so I'm not sure if I even need a rollbar as I don't believe SCCA requires one for Solo II.

I was wanting to put one in my coupe....mainly for looks. I like how you made it fit in the back seat and still kept the seats usable. Can you email me some directions of how you fab'd it up. Pipe diameter, angles, where you attach it to (mounting points). Did u cut the holes in the interior or was that already there for verts?

I really like your layout.
