Anybody running the BBK Throttle Body & CAI

As I read through the myriad of CAI reviews, I am confused as to who really has the best brand of snake poison. The C&L system seems pretty good, but you need the tuner and you have to run a premium fuel tune. THE GMS system sounds OK, but the QC issues with the harness has me wary. Thyen their is the BBK setup. 3 magazine articles, all consistent improvments, not tune, reasonable price. Just wondering if anybody is running the setup and has real feedback.

I have a stock 2005 Auto, so this would likely be my first perfromance mod.

All the "good" CAIs require a tune, but you can specify which fuel you like. [Most are personally choosing higher octane for better performance]

However, I do have a used K&N Aircharger sitting in my garage that does not require a tune.

probably not what you want to hear, but i would say to save your money until you can afford the cai/tune. the price wasnt too bad. i doubt you will feel much of a difference with just a cai alone. especially since you have an auto like me, the tune/cai will make your car SOOOO much more fun to drive. throttle response is way quicker, chirp 1-2 and 2-3 gear shifts. also, like enfynet said, you dont have to run premium fuel. you can choose to run 87 octane if you want. got my combo from bamachips, btw.

If you only knew what you are missing you would be on the phone in the morning to Banachip for a JLT pipe or C&L if you want eye candy and his 91 or 93 tune. The loss is truly yours if you do not. Give yourself a Christmas present If you plan to race me do not do it.LOL
