Hey All-

Just curious if anybody else had issues with installing the stage 1 kit?
On mine the factory instake duct is 3.5" dia, yet the kit's tube is only 3". The factory clamp won't even come close to tightening it up.
I could use a different clamp, but I'm a little skittish about crimping the living daylights out of the duct that much to get it tight. And the rubber grommet you're supposed to reuse from the factory airbox, heck it's about a eighth inch smaller than the notch on the housing it's supposed to slide onto. Just falls though.
Doe's Ford have a couple of versions of the factory airbox/intake duct?

Thanks !!

The stage 1 kit is for V6s, the Stage 2 is for GTs and it is great.

At this point I agree totally with softbatch, but it certainly doesn't answer everything.
It doesn't answer why AFE states this kit fits the v8.
That's why I asked if anyone else had tried it and if it actually fit or not.
In my case we can put one in the not column.
Sigh...........
Oh well, thanks guys!

I got had one on y car and the only thing about it is the box lid is a hard fit. I had to bend it down in certain points and finally just removed it completely.

Also, when I put the larger TB on it was a tight fit, when I went to remove it to test another TB the hose ripped horribly, enough that I couldn't reuse it. I'll let you know how well AFE's customer support is when I try to get a new one.

If anyone wants a AFE kit I have a used one for sale?

Thanks, Doug.
