I've searched through the forums extensivly and read through the entire sticky. I've listened to pretty much every sound clip as well. From this it has posed some questions/comments.

I figured I would post exactly what I am looking for, as its very hard to tell from many of the sound clips.

1) The exhaust can't annoy my neighbors when I come home at 2am, or leave for work early. (SLP Loudmouth is out)

2) I want a much deeper exhaust note, with almost that "metalic gurgle" you would hear on chambered exhaust from the 60s.

3) I hate exhaust drone on the freeway. I pretty much want stock sounding exhaust at this point. I had a highly modified 99 Mercury cougar a few years back and the exhaust I chose for that drove me mad on the freeway. Some drone is OK, but major drone, no way jose!

4) Through the city I would like to be heard moreso than stock.

Is there even a system that fits these needs?

From the above I think the Corsa is a close fit, but its a bit expensive.

I know there is a new exhaust thread every day, and I am a "newbie" here, but hopefully some of the veterens here who have tried multiple systems can help me out here.

I think what would be very helpful is a sticky post that ranks the various exhaust systems from quietest to loudest, and ranks drone from lowest to highest.

I had the Magnaflows (not the Magnapaks) and they sounded great. I sold them because I wanted something louder, but they have a nice smooth tone... and just a tad bit louder than stock. However, they didn't really have that deep tone that you are looking for. I haven't heard the Borla's in person on the '05... but from what I have read on here they are deeper than the stock exhaust note. Very nice tips too. I would recommend the Borla's for your specific needs. But wait until you hear some input from guys with Borla exhaust.

Wait until spring, find a local car club/meet listen to others in person if you must.

I must be the only one here who bought the FRPP model M5230-5GTQ. Most people go with the stingers but I didn't want too much loud. This is very nice. Deeper Borla sound without being annoying. To each his own I guess.

I have Magnaflow (not Magnapack) stainless cat back and x-pipe. I was looking for: hp gain, forever exhaust pieces (as I drive primarily stop-n-go), looks, no emission impact, and not a lot of sound increase. I am VERY satisfied.

I vote Flows as well! Not too loud but was deep enough to set off an alarm next to me in the parking garage the other day when I started it up! Everyone I talk to says it sounds so mean and deep. I almost wish I could have someone else drive the car and follow to hear it! Drone is minimal, and even at full drone from about 1300-1700 RPM the resonance is not deafening or annoying. And it sounds so good gurgling back down to idle after a rev or going through the gears

Go with the Corsa's if you have the money and you won't be sorry. There is absolutely no drone, the sound is great (deep and rumbly like a Mustang should sound like), and they look awesome. I am very happy with mine.

It is totally opinion really.

bryman described the flows pretty well. The gurgle I only really hear when shes cold, after warmed up its not as noticable.

I did a sound clip when the engine/flows were cold.

That sounds fantastic!

Where is the best place to order the Flowmasters from? I've noticed they are much cheaper than most other systems, that leaves some free cash for a set of pulleys

Thanks guys!
