Another Crazy Deal: 05-06 FRPP Whipple SC

Stumbled on this deal and thought someone with an 05-06 GT might want to jump on it as seems like an outstanding opportunity to get "blown" at a huge discount. Just curious what the key differences are between the early models and the 07+ that make this model specific?

the water cross-over changed for the 07s that's the main difference. You could probably buy it separate from Whipple ??

My first thought was to check into compatibility with my 07. But then reality set in and spending that kind of money on a SC is not a top priority right now... eventhough my older brother is giving me grief about my small HP gains with the tune, CAI, etc. and he told me point blank to just stop screwing around and get "blown"!! Considering his '71 Firebird is in the mid 800 range, I guess he is coming from the "right" mindset!

So what is the catch? I can just plop down $3k and I have 400hp? Would I need anything other than a tune?

Ford tune comes with it.
I don't know if it needs different plugs or anything else.
They have my interest too.
Darn that's a good price and I don't think I want anymore boost than that on my stock block.

I hope it wasnt as scam, i gave them 2 CC # to make the deal. 1 went through, the other didnt, they called back and we axed the deal. Debit cards wont charge 3k. havent seen the credit back to my bank yet..
by the way, it was 1 only, 05-06 4.6 plugs, injectors, blower, belts, complete set up, with voucher for Tuner.

I bought this supercharger from Atomic Performance. It is exactly as advertised and Atomic was great to deal with. Brand new in the box. It is a Ford Racing Whipple 5psi 400hp black finish kit for '05 - '06 Mustang GT's. They shipped it last Friday and it was at my house on Tuesday afternoon. I just got home from my Thanksgiving travels, so I did not have a chance to check it out until tonight. I am very excited about it and I am looking forward to installing it on my Mustang.

BTW, yes, I have an '07. I spoke with Whipple prior to purchasing this supercharger and I can buy the '07 specific parts from them for $300. I thought it was still a great deal and went ahead with the purchase. Thanks for the heads up on this deal!!

I am glad someone from this forum had the opportunity to capitalize on this great deal. I almost dug into the requirements to make it work on my 07s as that "deal" really got me thinking about getting blown verses the whole GT500/SS upgrade, wheels/tires, etc. Still will need to upgrade the suspension, but stealth and HP will be more fun!!

Now that I am convinced a SC is in my future, I am really leaning towards the new Edelbrock and will more than likely be dropping a deposit this week. Although a lot more spendy (especially compared to your deal), I love the low psi and "bolt-on" RWHP as compared to the Whipple as I want to keep the engine and exhaust otherwise stock. And per CR at Tillman, another 25-30RWHP is easily added with only a tune, CAI, and intake elbow. But once I buy the SC, probably will be too broke to any other HP enhancements for a while:-)
