Has anyone installed this kit yet and if so what is your opinion? How does
it sound compared to original 40's or delta flow 40's?

Any advice will be appreciated.

installed mine today. the sound is perfect. no drone . a little louder at idle and it sounds much better on acceleration.

I won't be buying them now because
a) too expensive, the price will come way down in a year. It's a new thing.
B) Exhaust systems have a finite life here in NH, I'll beat on them for 1 winter and add them in the spring

 

i paid 244 + 25 shipping for this kit. this is the best price that i found but remember the kit is alum and not stainless. i will try and borrow a digital cam corder so i can make a sound clip.

how come on the flowmaster website the kit costs $435 plus shipping and you got it so cheap? ive also seen it other places for a similar price, which all were around $150 cheaper than if you buy direct from flowmaster. am i missing something here?

 

Manufacturer's are legally obligated to sell at MSRP. Dealers can discount as much or little as they want. Rarely do you get the best price by buying directly from the manufacturer. If you think about it, it makes perfect sense. If the manufacturer discounted their products, they would be competing with their dealers.
