Alternative to M-5230-GTA axle backs

After the great thread by Mustang Buster I've been looking around trying to find these and they are back ordered everywhere. So during my search last night I stumbled across this on the Ninosport site. After taking a close look at the pictures posted by Mustang Buster - I believe they are the same ones rebranded by FRPP. Cheaper price, no shipping charge and in stock - it don't get any better than that.

I ordered them last night and spoke with Ninosport this morning. They are in stock and I'm hoping they are here by week's end.

There is only a $5.05 price difference between what you paid and what Mustang Buster paid. I mean I am not one to throw away $5 but still it is not that big of a difference.

The link he posted has them for 400.00. FRPP lists them at 325.00 and some dealers are marking them up more than suggested retail. Maybe I missed the part where he got them cheaper than that...

My bad - I just re-read the thread. The link I was talking (in Mustang Buster's thread) about was posted by someone else. Mustang Buster got a good deal.

Yep, that is them, good job finding them at that price, and in stock! I paid $270 plus $15 for shipping. Enjoy them, I sure do mine

I got them on the car yesterday. Just what I was after. Nice idle, great at WOT and no drone. They are only a little louder than stock and the tips fill the cutouts perfectly.

Glad you found what you were looking for. I'm still researching.

When you say they are only a little louder than stock, do you mean a idle, running errands around town, or WOT. I actually like the stock at WOT, but wouldn't mind a little deeper louder at idle and running around town. Is it mellow deep, raspy, scream, etc.

I haven't heard a good clip of these on a stock H-pipe so its hard to compare. Let me know your impressions.
Thanks
Richard

I posted this on another thread but I got the mufflers from Ninosports as well after reading this post. Here are some pictures of the install and the X pipe. Slightly louder than stock all the way around. I'm happy with this setup but if you want loud mufflers then this isn't for you.

What Graypny said. I'm most impressed with the improvement in the idle sound (and of course the look of the tips!). I don't spend a lot of time at WOT so that's not so important to me. The sound at idle is deeper and a little more 'warbley' as my wife put it.

Glad to see you guys are happy with the Supreme/FRPP/Shelby mufflers. In case you haven't checked out our site lately we updated the availabilty info on this kit. We expect to get around 15 kits within one week so we are busy taking pre-orders right now. This kit is proving to be a popular item because of the super nice tips and great sound. Enjoy it you guys!

I ordered a set from summit and it was on back order to 3 weeks and when they changed the expected date to 3 nov, I went looking and calling around. I found another source for the GTAs and ordered them late in the afternoon, as soon as they gave me the tracking number (next morning) I called summit to cancle my order and it turns out that they shipped them out that morning.....now I have a second set. I paid 339.94 shipped.

I like the throaty sound but they are not quite as loud as I wanted, but close. I ordered the FFRP X -pipe, whice is on back order also.

Sorry to hear you got stuck with an extra set of GTA's, but you will really like them. Why did you pay so much however? I paid $270 plus $15 for shipping for mine, and I was the first to get them and post the info. Nino now has them priced about the same. Make sure you don't overpay on the X-Pipe as well, mine was $120 plus $9 for shipping. Hope you can sell the extra GTA's, but you might have to take a loss since you can buy them new cheaper than what you paid.

Mustang Buster, you happened on a good deal on the FRPP set. I was calling all over serveral states looking for them. Most are on back order and when I did find dealers that had them they were marking them up from the list price of 325.00 - usually 349.00 plus shipping and tax. When I found the deal at Ninosport I jumped on it. It wasn't until I went back and re-read your thread that I saw you only paid 285.00 - which is well below list for them.

I paid $279.95 with free shipping from Ninosport and got the X-Pipe from Lethal Performace for $135 with free shipping. Had to twist their arm to get that though. Grand total $414.95 + $40 to have the mufflers mounted because I was in a hurry to hear them. Shelby GT mufflers and X pipe for $415.00 is something that I can live with and they sound and performance good also. Double win!

I guess it is just like everything else, once they start to become popular, they start to raise the prices. I guess Rich and I were lucky to get the prices we did, but I know others have called the same place I ordered from and got the same deal.
