AH Louvers (bracket problem) will this solution work?

I have a Astra Hammond alluminum louver on my rear window as some of you know.

The top right (passenger side) bracket wasnt sealed properly and water got in and messed up the sticky side that contacts the window.

I pulled it off today because it was barely holding on.

Since it's alluminum and doesnt bend very easy, it put enough pressure on the bracket to lift it off the window.

I picked up a thing of clear epoxy tonight at home depot. I plan on putting a little on the part thats not sticky any longer and putting it on the window with epoxy.

I dont plan on taking the louvers off except to clean the window, so the brackets will stay. I also have to put a little more sealant on a couple spots that i noticed i missed, like on the other top bracket edge.

Is this a good solution considering I'll not be taking the louver brackets off in the future?

Any drawbacks to using epoxy with 1,000lbs/sq inch holding power?

I'm not to sure epoxy will (stick) to glass for very long.
Rear view mirror epoxy works becuase there is no weight, pressure or moisture to effect the bond
I would suggest that you buy a roll of high quality double stick tape from 3M. They offer a 1" wide HEAVY DUTY TAPE
Home Depot, Menards sells the roll for about $4.00.
**** everthing MUST be clean, clean,CLEAN!!!!
Use a little fine sandpaper on the metal parts
Put tape on the bracket over sized! I mean use the biggest section of tape that you can(no little bits to fill in). Better to use 2 long pieces the 1 long and 1 short.
Trim to fit with a new sharp razor.
Clean glass and bracket with rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth, air dry.
Set taped bracket in place. Use DUCT TAPE to hold down tight over night.
After it sets up, remove DUCT TAPE and use your finger to spread a thin bead of silicon around the double sided tape bracket and onto the glass.
This should seal the tape and seal out moisture for good.
Use this method on any bracket that is exposed to weather.
