Can someone point me to where I read something about the front springs and, I'm not sure if the word was index or offset, but it was regarding how the top and bottom coil ends align with one another?

Here is a pic of the front coil:

And the aftermarket one I'm questioning:
[attachmentid=46741]

Is this an issue???

Here are the rears:
[attachmentid=46742] [attachmentid=46743]

The rears are not as dramatic a difference as the fronts so may be a non-issue...

Rears don't matter at all, since they just sit on the perch and also in the upper pocket without having to butt against a backstop point of any sort.

As for the fronts, I remember the threads about how Steeda and others had a bad batch of springs with improper clocking. After having installed the BMR springs, and now the Eibachs, I still can't see where it could be a problem. The bottom of the spring can only mount in the strut one way--butted against the stop. Given that the upper strut bearing rotates, it doesn't seem to matter how the coil ends are clocked in relation to each other.

I'd love to hear/see an explanation of what the clocking issue was, though.

"CLOCKING"...That's THE word, Thanks
And here's the write up that I vaguely remembered reading: http://www.steeda.com/PR/Products/555-8215/555-8215.htm

So, are the BMR springs going to have problems with clicking and popping???

Import-Slaya, do you have BMR's or Eibach's on yours now?

I know the SB on the popping dealt with making sure the spring is butted up against the top and bottom of the struts, and make sure you put the rubber sleeve on the new springs from the old factory pair.
