Aftermarket Cam

I was out at Turkey Rod Run in Daytona over the weekend which got me thinking about camming the stallion. I was looking at the Comp Cam ***** Thumper. Can I just get my mechanic to swap the cams or do I have to get a flash tuner also?

Looking at your avatar I'm guessing you have a 3v 4.6 or is it a v6? You will need a custom tune. The best thing to get would be a dynotune. It will be the most accurate tune for the car.

it's the 4.6. Yea that's what I thought. I was hoping to just swap it out and save the $400 on the tuner. O well... Guess I'll just have to save up a couple more weeks worth of lunch money haha

Lol you kept referring to a single cam. I was just making sure.

Ps. There is a such thing as a muffler bearing.
