On a recent trip my e-brake kept coming on abruptly, causing a bit of excitement when suddenly the bright red light would pop on and cruise controll cut off. I figgured out what was going on, my leg was resting against the e-brake which is really loose for some reason, hadn't noticed it before. It would lift just enough to trip the switch but not enough to actually engage the brake.

When I got home I popped the little cover and there is a screw with a spring and what looks like a 10mm or 7/16 nut on the screw. Looks like thats the way to adjust it but it's really tight quarters in there.

Is that the adjuster and if so any tips on how to get a wrench in there? I'd need a 3 inch deep socket, atleast, to slip it over the screw which I don't have, so looks like I'd need to some how get a wrench in there.

I don't want to take it to a dealership for something so simple.

Any advise would be apriciated, thanks in advance.
