Is an adjustable pnahrd rod necessary for a car that is not lowered?

Is an adjustable pnahrd rod necessary for a car that is not lowered?

?

I ask because I want to upgrade the axle girdle and I see that it might require relocating the panhard rod. Might want to lower it down the road, kinda want to see how the first few handling mods perform.
