? about stock auto and supercharger

New to forum. I am considering purchasing an 07 Mustang GT, automatic transmission, with 28000 miles. The owner has added a Whipple supercharger. Will the stock automatic transmission hold up to the additional HP?

Are there other areas of concern I should question him about?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I'm putting a Roush SC on mine in a couple weeks and it's an auto with 4.10 gears. I've know others SC their auto's with no problems, except excessive wear to rear tires

I have an '07 GT automatic that I bought new. I installed a supercharger nearly 3 years ago and have had zero problems with the trans. I drive it daily, thrash it often, and have made 100+ passes at our local dragstrips (car runs high 11's @ 114 in the 1/4 mile).

The 5R55S automatic is tough, but change the trans fluid often and make sure the tune allows for harder/quicker shifts (via higher line pressure) so that there is less heat build up from soft/slow shifting. The factory installed a trans cooler, but you could always put in a bigger cooler if needed.

Thanks, I appreciate your information. We have made a decision to pass on this car. I plan to keep looking for just the right Mustang.
