Thumbs up

Since our area has had problems getting gas, most of our stations are getting low grade fuel (87 octane) and most are not getting the 93. Is there a way to adjust my diablo predetor so that I can run the 87 without having to take off my c&l intake and diablo program.Seems like I read some where when I bought it that I could adjust from 93 to 91 gas but I don't remember about going to 87.

The ignition timing will be the main thing that needs to be changed. Have you tried going into custom settings and editing the octane? I'm not sure what is and isn't on the Mustang Predator, or even if it is possible to do that.

Yes it is in the Timing.

I found the info. on the C&L website, on how much too adjust, and I found in the diablo owners, manual how too adjust it.

In a couple of weeks when I run the 93 out i'll find out how it runs.

i emailed and got a response from Diablo Sport

by the way i have been running like this for 2 weeks no problems....

Go into global spark and take out 2 degrees of spark. This will let you be able to use 87 octane.

Thank you,

take 5 global out is what the C&l websight says.

I also noticed that after I took the timing out, It took out the low RPM detonation that I would hear sometimes. It would only do it at very low rpm's like when making a sharp turn at around 1000 rpm. . So if I ever put the timing back in I think that i'm only going to raise it 4 degrees instead of 5.
