$800
Hey. I have $800 and I don't know what to do. So I figured I should ask the people who know all about modding the mustang.
Here's the deal:
I have a nav system (Pioneer AVID-D1), painted calipers, 3d carbon ducktail, pedals, smokes fogs.
I do not want new exhaust.
Beyond that, I am open to anything. CAI, suspension, whatever.
So, I am really looking for a good suspension set up for around 700 or less. I could scrape money and buy the saleen suspension, but I suspect I could get something as good or better for less. Please tell me. If you dont think I should go to the trouble of changing suspension to increase handling or appearance, suggest something else like a CAI (MRT or something) or something I haven't thought of!
Thanks

I vote for the JLT CAI and an X-Cal

If any $$ left over: Hurst shifter.
If any $$ left over: 4.10s.
If any $$ left over: Strut tower brace.
Not necessarily in that order.
I am inclined not to go with a tune. I think the MRT CAI would be the best option because it is 300 but does not require tune while still giving great performance. that would be if i went that route.
if I wanted to do suspension work, how would you spend ~$700 to give a car that looks better (dont want eibach, too low on the lowering springs) and handles like its on rails without making it too stiff to drive?

Put it in the bank, you've spent enough already!

I'm guessing you don't want a tune because of warranty issues? You can always flash it back to stock before taking it in for service. A CAI and tune is the way to go imo.

I really am not going to get a CAI and tune. In my book, it seems like a waste of money. Not only would I have to pony up (yes, pun intended) another 300-400 bucks, I could just buy the MRT CAI and have 500 left over to do other stuff.
I am leaning towards suspension stuff I think at the moment. What could I get for 700-800 dollars that would make my car handle better while still keeping in drivable. (please no eibach, I'd go with less of a drop)

I'm going with the Saleen Suspension kit for around $800. People say it lowers about .75 to 1in. I wanted the Eibach but it will make my ride to low and its on backorder until Febuary or so. The first thing I bought was a Valentine One. Best $400 ever spent.

I am thinking about that too. Does anyone have any experience with the suspension? Please tell us all about. The ride, height, the improved handling. Please, I am desperate for some reviews on the Saleen suspension kit.

One guy reviews it and seems to really like it. I'm also considering the Saleen suspension kit.
