50hp at the crank....

hello all,
as i research more, speak to some of you, i think its pretty amazing that you can get 50hp at the crank relatively easy on the GT.

all the while keeping your 'stang daily driver friendly!

with my past experiences with an '02 M3 and '00 CLK430...u can spend THOUSANDS and get NOTHING out of them!!

i love the STANG!!

thanks all!

Yep, they respond pretty well to mods. With the mods I have listed in red in my signature below, I went from 264 horses to 303 horses, both measurements taken at the wheels. Purchasing headers and running a more aggressive tune would likely put me well over 310 at the wheels......

Good luck modding your 'stang- just becareful because it becomes addictive........

303hp at the wheels is like 354hp at the crank! wow! that is SICK!!! bye bye '02 M3 in a street race

it can get addictive and thats where the fun starts!

Yep, I can honestly say that I have never owned a car that responded to a CAI and a Tuner like this one did.

Well, you've never owned an '03 Cobra then!! I did. It dynoed at 364 rwhp prior to a Borla Stinger catback and flash. With only these two changes, it dynoed at 420 rwhp! And that was through the stock air filter!

It would have been a dream to keep this engine and tranny to drop in my newly acquired '05 GT....... must have lost around 150 horses with this "trade"......

Your right, and btw I never said that is car responded like no other. For a naturally aspirated car, there is a pretty big difference.

I know the Terminators respond well to mods.

probably because the BMW havs pushed the smaller engine alot farther than Ford has pushed the larger 4.6. The 4.6 still has alot of room to grow :-)

Germany and others could probably make the same power with 1/2 the engine! Well, maybe not the torque :-) I wish Ford and Chevy would use a bit of that technology! Not to replace the big engines, but to make them better :-)
