5 new best times...
Went to the track today....First time out with the drag radials; spydershaft; UCA and line locks.
Not really sure what to expect since my previous best ever in the 1/8 was 8.68.
So up I go. Get into the burn out box, apply brakes engage line locks and smoke is pouring out from behind the car...VERY cool. (Except) I'm bouncing off the rev limiter because I was still in first gear ...DUH. So now I go up to the line and stage; Get my RPM up to 4000 dump the clutch; car flies off the line; then bogs REALLY bad…. Then off I go… It ran a 1.99 60 and a 8.68… OK not crazy about that too much seeing as I ran a 2.05 and a 8.68 with my street tires about 4 weeks prior….
Anyway I make a total of 8 passes today and six are the fastest I’ve ever gone (if I include the 8.68 with the better 60ft time).

8.65 1.96 60ft
8.61 1.94 60ft
8.57 1.93 60ft
8.55 1.92 60ft
8.49 1.88 60ft
So I’m pretty happy; that as the day went on I’m getting better but now the quest is on to get some gears in….that should help that bad bog off the start… and my times should be much better….maybe 8.2-8.3’s are within reach.... All in all I guess I was hoping for more but I guess going from 25.6" tires to 28" tires and still having the stock gears I have to expect some trouble keeping the car in it's sweet spot.

i removed the serpentine belt since i have an e-w/p and it really helped
previous best 12.29 @ 110.9
first run with belt 12.35 @108
second w/o belt 12.22 @ 112.8
third w/o belt stuff removed out of car 12.15 @ 111.4
60' was 1.688
1/8 mile 7.77 @ 87.5mph
it was a decent day here but not incredible so maybe my 11.99 goal is in sight finally

You're still getting about 5MPH more in the 1/4 then I am currently. I don't think gears are going to get me that much.

then after the 4.30's went in i actually gained 3-4mph and dropped maybe another half tenth.
at the time my tune wasn't aggressive and the lockup came in late so with the 3.73's it locked in 4th as i was going through the lights then with the 4.30's it was able to lock quicker in the run allowing the engine to rev up more before crossing the finish line.
