At least you'll still have the weather to enjoy the cai once you get it and install it! I'll be putting my Mustang on storage insurance probably next week and drive "the truck" every day for a few months.

What cai and tuner did you go with? I love my C&L racer and SCT2 tuner that I got from Brenspeed late in 2006!

I know the feeling. It took Brenspeed 9 days to get my order delivered to me as well.

i ordered the steeda unit w/ the high flow elbow (i guess they all come this way now).

first - i like the sgt styling and this will look the same
second - our dealer sells those and after a long talk - pulling in with a steeda unit wouldnt throw up eyeballs like another brand might
finally - i dont forsee any mods like some on here do as its my DD. i did the gts exhaust and now this.

as for the tuner - sct2 was the only one i would consider

As did I. There are things I like and dislike about the kit and Steeda instructions really suck; but anyway, when you install the nipple in the 5/8" hose, use a lubricant, like 3-in-1. It's a pita without it. Also, be patient when removing the nipple from the OE tube (it's a pita as well).

Finally, trim both sides and the top of the box. They dont give you enough for the whole thing, so ignore the bottom. When you mount the new tube, keep the screws on the passenger side.

You'll know what I mean when you get into it.

Your welcome...

A little overkill, but you'll save time and get it right the first time. Also, watch the Brenspeed video, "uploading a tune" with great attention, as there are no instructions with the kit.

I thought for $600.00+, you would get more, but what do i know..

JeffD;

I took another look at the airbox trim over the weekend. The best way to do it is to trim the contact points on the bottom, then work around it and end toward the grille. that will maximize the trim and give it a more finished look like the pic.

Btw, another forum member cut his 1/4 mile time by .5 seconds with a Brenspeed tune and BBK CAI; so you're in for a treat.

Sorry, I have a 5 speed. Call Brenspeed, I'm sure they'll be able to help.
Unless of course, you just sucked up a small animal during your test drive

Do you mean the tire chirp or the sucking un-silenced whoosh sound of air rushing in through the cone filter? Either of these are completely normal after such additions.
