4.6 piston rod mod
that was a stock rod no one has seen one bend that far without breaking
no damage to the block crank or bearings I got two good years out of it
my block will be ready sometime next week all forged internals
and for those of you that don't know FRPP quit making the 8 bolt
flex plate for the automatic's so if you need one start looking
they are few and far between

In all seriousness, what was the first indication you had that something had gone wrong? I would imagine that this is something that can gradually bend over time, is it not? Or would it just give and bend all at once?
But you can't knock the stock rods, they hold 200 more horsepower than they are supposed to from the factory. I'd say they lived their life well! lol
Yikes... looks a bit better than the armasteel (think thats what they were made from) rod I bent in my old 5.0 though. Glad you didn't suffer a completely catastrophic engine failure.
Welcome to the forums!
And what Bert said. They cheap out some on the rods and pistons, but the blocks they over-engineer because why wouldn't you... you might need make another Shelby or something, then you can spend the money on rods/pistons because people'll pay more for it.
