4.6 is Just not enough power for me!
Ok, for the average guy the 05+ mustang's 4.6L with some modifications can produce enjoyable power... But I am not average! And am getting real bored with the lack of real power (even after all the mods), I am talking about 600+hp... I am on a mission to build something fast! And I want to achieve no less than 600HP using pump gas AND with out the aid of a blower, if possible! I think I would like to find someone who builds 5.4L short blocks that that are stroked and bored to a full 6.0L... I will reuse most of my 4.6 engine parts, i.e. heads, oil pan etc... but because the deck is higher on the 5.4 and the heads are further apart, I will need a new special intake.. I currently looking at JDM or dssracing.. Again this is going to be a winter project now is the time for research... any advice/information is greatly appreciated.
thanks...

No offense but you would save TONS and TONS of money just going with a Blower of some sort rather than trying to squeeze 600hp out of a N/A Motor and still make it streetable - To be honest I don't think Ive ever seen a daily driven 600rwhp Naturally Aspirated Ford, But if it can be done Id definitely like to see it.
You know I went through this process and in the end a blower is the way to go. I'm installing a Kenne Bell @ 12psi. Why only 12 not 25? because I like my car !
You can't go to crazy this car still needs to be a long term ride. An addtion to this would be to mod the bottom end. If you crave more HP down the road it's a pulley change and a tune. Twin Screw... Kenne Bell or Whipple.
(Meet Kenne! FYI this is not my car I will post my car in about two weeks
)

I don't think its possible with a mod motor. Why not just pick up a GT40 and do a TT setup and go for 1400hp
Without FI its next to impossible. The cheaper way would be to buy a GT500 and mod it. You should just get a KB and max it out on stock internals, and later go to a built block. You're only at 340hp now. Sounds a little unrealistic.

You are pretty much talking about a Nascar engine, but with pump gas.
Your NA 6.0L engine would have to turn around 9,000 to 10,000 rpm to make that kind of power. You might be able to get 4 mpg if you can find another drafting partner on the freeway.

600hp is not streetable in N/A form. I have a 69 camaro drag car that dynos over 600hp, but its a 412 small block built built by Jenkins Competition. It has 13:1 compression and runs on 110 Octane. I can drive it on the street, but not more than 40 miles until I have to put more gas in! 4.56 gears and a 1050 dominator won't get you very far.

Ain't happen'n bro. How about this. Take out that 4.6 and drop in a 5.4 with a Kenne bell and up the boost!!! Or keep the 4.6 and do this...(Something I'm debating....along, long, long time from now though....LONG TIME!!)...
- 298-302 Stroker
- Tekskid Block
- Livernois Stage 3 Heads
- JE Pistons
- Manley Rods
- Cobra Crank
- Comp Stage 3 Cams (Pretty much what ever suites your set up)
- Kenne Bell 2.6L Twin Screw 25+lbs of boost (Maybe a 2.8L here in the near future)
There's you a nice little 4.6L upped to about 7.2-7.6L...
Then your gonna need plenty of other parts....
- Transmission
- Ignition
- Exhaust
- Cooling
- Fuel System
- Driveline
- Suspension
- Brakes
- Wheels/Tires
- Electronics
- Miscellaneous Parts
Well, this gives me a brief second to drift off a bit and dream...Though for you it's all go baby, and you have the dough..
. Look into some of those parts bro and talk to the Jim's at JDM and they'll fix you up or sure!! Plus, it will still be perfectly streetable, and you could always have multiple tunes and just swap pulleys back and forth. Hell, one day you'll be pushing 700RWHP then the next you'll be putting down 450RWHP.....just a thought.
Have fun with it!!!
