Anyone running 265's on 18x8.5 wheels? Are 255's the best fit?

I'm running 265/40/18 on the stock Bullit rims on my 07 GT/CS. They work and look fine. It's in storage now for the winter. I'm running B.F. Goodrich KDW (TT). They are directional tires. My car is lower wirh lots of suspension mods.
