Hi guys... this is my second post... anyway... im thinking in making my own x pipe or maybe delete the H pipe and have the exhaust free of any H or X pipe... and im thinking about taking out the catalizer and muffler... but i know that if i take them out the check engine light will be on all the time... is there a way to open the catalizer, put something in the O2 sensor so it wont light the check engine?... are there sensors in the 4 catalizers?... what can i do? remember im in mexico and everything gets more expensive down here... please tell me your ideas guys!... thanks!!!

ok-
first, there are only 2 cats. If you get an xpipe, you can get hi-flow cats....thus eliminating any check engine light.
You wont gain any power from a catback (or axleback), but you should see some gains with an xpipe. No mufflers sounds really good, and really loud. not sure what the noise/emissions restrictions are south of the border.
hope this helps....

if you weld in an O2 boss on each pipe, you should eliminate the check engine light... your emissions readings will change, and you'll probably run a little rich, but you still should get by just fine. I took the mufflers out of both of my Mustangs, leaving the cats in, and I still ran super clean, had no check engine, sounded great, and didn't have to worry about the legalities of removing the catelytic converters... going completely open like you're suggesting might actually cause you to lose power. You'll definitly lose bottom end torque, and you may notice a difference in your breaking. .... you'll lose intake manifold vaccum, wich your breaks run off of, as well as other systems, and those will see a difference.

Just remember that the '05 is extremely sensitive to any changes in the intake/exhaust airstream. It could well go in to "limp In" mode on you. I would be sure to check with any Experts you can before tampering with it.

P.S. I was told they would work for the 05. I dont believe any design in 02 sensors has changed. Good luck

or maybe delete the H pipe and have the exhaust free of any H or X pipe...
This will definately cause you to lose power. :notnice:
