Well after owning my car for 17 months and spending quite a bit of money on mods I have decided that October is the month that I spend zero $ on the car. This mod thing is kind of an addiction and I am really trying to prove to myself that I can do it.

P.S. I wonder how Doug's 91 Race tune would feel in the car? It's only a 100 bucks!

 

That's funny. I could never make it! I would have to buy something for my car to cope with the stress!

 

I am going to the auto body shop tomorrow to see how much stripes are going to cost. I bet if the cost is reasonable that Rich won't be able to last the month!

I can't believe you're doing that to your car- it wants the mods! How selfish of you to deprive it.......oh the humanity!!

 

I have that addiction as well.... my last car I spent 18k just in performance parts (no bodykits or silly crap).. and it took 2.5years to recover.

I just started again and I can feel the addiction coming on.

 

Went by the body shop and they want roughly $3,000 to paint the stripes. That includes removing the front and back windows and bumpers and spraying clear with block sanding to remove ridges. So, I think Rich will be able to hold out! I'd be spending more money right now if the CDC classic chin spoilers weren't out of stock.

 

I don't know how you can do it Rich! You are a better man than I am...

yea 3k for stripes does sound a bit crazy. how bout ditchin the stripes, save a bit more and go for the supercharger

 

California is crazy high for painting stripes. I had several people give me guessimates and the lowest one was $2500.

Almost bought a six pack of oil today but held out!

Only about 1200 on stripes here in st. louis! Stripes are awesome, I love my satin silver stripes on redfire. Awesome is all I can say!

 

I wonder if it is worth it to go to Nevada to get stripes painted. Anyone in Nevada know the price?
