$50. I don't know if I would get my monies worth out of that. I guess I just don't know enough about what I could do with it. I would like a way to make a video of a series of runs. I don't know if that program will allow me to do that. I can get around the computer, but when it comes to that kind of stuff-
My video's are usually wmv, but for some reason, that one came out in mpg. I don't have a clue why. Same camera, same FTP account.
Derek, where's that video?

Dave - nice video!
Who was running the black auto?
I was all the way on the other side of the track with the Ft. Lauderdale Mustang Club section - our cars were on display right at the main gate.
I hoofed it over a few times and finally found your car (there was another LL there but I knew yours by the wheels and the Mickey Thompsons) but had no clue where you were at - there was never anyone by the car. (and I have no clue what you look like!)
And MAN you are right - it was HOT as all heck!!
And I guess cause of how 'small' a show it was, not alot of effort went into track cleaning - it was okay for street cars but my brother ran his 8 second '67 a few times and then threw in the towel cause the track was so bad. He did NOT wanna have something stupid happen and put it in the wall.
It was cool to see your car close up though.
I got in my first few runs EVER on a track - I was nervous as heck but it was fun.
I know I'll definitely catch you the next time though.
Hey - I got some pics up of my car in its 'new' incarnation and a few from it parked at the track - check 'em out!

The other black 05 is a guy from Indiantown. I'll be selling him my rear wheels once I get the Bogart's.

David... thanks for keeping us "drag junkies" fed! Keep 'em coming!!
I was out at a local 1/8-mi track Saturday for some test & tune time during an NHRA Summit Series event. It was too hot even here in San Diego, too.
Because it was primarily NHRA cars, I was the definite slowpoke out there. haha. And one of the quieter cars too. It's not good for one's ego to run 9.0's when the "real" race cars are going low 6's and high 5's. But, it was the only '05 Mustang there, and I got lots of lookers and many compliments.
Since the times were slow, the only real highpoint for me was that my RTs are getting better. My best was a 0.501 (on a 0.500 tree). I also had a 0.517. Most were sub-0.600. The car ran within a 1/10 all day long. So this Saturday, I'm going to try a bracket race for the first time.

I love the exhaust. It's kindof funny at the track. After I run, a few people always come up to the car wanting to hear the exhaust. The entire exhaust is Stainless Works. The only thing I'd do different is having the exhaust coated.

talk about knocking down the clock! Our tree is .000 as best R/T. What's the difference between the 2? We have some (1/4 mile) 7 and 8 sec. cars, bunch of 9's, 10's, and 11's. I used to compare my times and get depressed, but have learned that 1. I don't have nearly the money into my car as any sub 11 sec. car 2. to just have fun! I pretty much race myself. I'm not too concerned with the next guy. There will come a day when I'm more confident and know exactly what my car will do every time.

Yea, I need to get some sort of weather station. I have a log book. I just need to start using it. I actually forgot to take it to the track with me. Another guy said the track itself was 138 degrees. I will start recording all info and eventually will look into a weatherstation.

No, mine has the bullitt wheels, Mickey Thompson rear tires and painted mirrors. That one belongs to an older fella. I forget his name though.

awesome run. My brother-in-law is running 13.2's in his Diesel pickup and wants to go against me at the track but I don't think my car will be that quick.

Some 4.10's, some good rear tires and practice using them. Should be a good race!

Dave-whats up man? Nice video but I can vouch for you running much better than that. I missed the steeda event and havent been back to the track since I saw you last-and o yea by the way I did run out of gas on the way home last time(uneducated bum). Looks like I will joining you in the failed tranny department bc my 2nd gear synchro is screwed and after only 2 months. Hopefully Ill see you up there sometime soon if we can get both are trannies working. -Jan

Yeah I am guessing you should be in the neighborhood John -
I am no expert and never run on a track before - but I have the JLT intake with the 93 octane DTP tune in my automatic and 3.55 gears. It was hot as SIN saturday as Dave has testified to - but I didn't even drop the pressure in my tires - just ran it like I do on the street and I ran a 13.7 and a 13.6 - and that's being nervous as heck - I'm sure with it cooler and after I work on my launch a bit I can shave a few more tenths off there.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to notice the blue shorts!
