Friday night was great. I had the first opportunity to run my car at the drag strip since installing the Steeda Sport Springs and the Steeda Adjustable Upper Control Arm. The problems that I had with wheel hop at the track are now gone. 12.94 at 108mph. My car does continue to fry the tires in 1st and part of 2nd gear but 60ft times are in the 1.96 to 2.10 range. It feels that I might be losing a little bit of weight transfer to the rear wheels due to the springs, this would be helpful with radial tires but probably not a problem with slicks. My wife ran a best of 13.41 at 107 mph with 0-60ft times in the 2.10-2.20 range, this was her first time at the track with this car! Still the only 05 Mustang at the track around here, it's kind of cool to get that sort of attention. I am looking forward to installing line locks and some slicks'n'skinnies for the next race. 
BTW, the 2-step rev limiter feature on the X-calibrator is awesome! I was overpowering radial tires with it set at 2500 RPMs but I can tell it will work nicely with slicks. Look out 11's here I come, I will get there without boost, you wait and see.

A 2 step rev limiter allows you to take a manual transmission car and hold a specific RPM at the starting line. When you see Pro Stock drag cars line up on TV you can hear their engine jump up to a fixed RPM just prior to launch after they stage. You just set the RPM with your computer, tune the car, then when you are sitting still and have the clutch depressed you can floor the accelerator and the car will stay at the set RPM until the computer senses drive shaft movement (i.e. when you let the clutch out). It keeps the launch consistent, and when you find a good RPM it can launch your car at an RPM that significantly decreases ET such as reduced wheel spin or with slicks it allows you to launch at the RPM that your car mankes most of its power. SCT extreme tune software allows you to turn on this feature but you must have the PC cable, some systems require you to purchase the pro-racer package to access this.

Great times! Can you inform me about the 2 step with the SCT. I have the SCT. I'm just wondering what I can do to utilize the 2 step. I've been inquiring about a 2 step. Please, please, divulge the info you have on this or direct me to the source! I really appreciate it.

David, I actually have recieved tunes from ModularDepot.com, with the extreme tune software downloadable for free from SCT's website I was able to turn on the 2 step system when I opened the program. I did call SCT because it wasn't working properly and the associate informed me that it was probably becuase I did not have the upgraded version of the software called the "Pro Racer Package." This allows much more tuneablity to your car that most of us should stay away from. The SCT associate said he would send me a file through e-mail that could be patched into the tune when I opened the software, he asked me what RPM I wanted it set at and then sent me the tune for free. I am not sure they would do this frequently but it is worth giving it a try. I would recommend a higher RPM since you are running slicks. I have slicks on order as well as line locks thanks to your recent mods. Stop spending money dude, you are making me jealous, and jealousy costs me money to cure! :bang: PM me if you have more questions.
